Search for any Yolia concept and open its exact file. The Library is independent of Sandbox, Labs and dashboards: those surfaces only link here.

The Library explains physiology, biology, chemistry, modules, combinations, stages, preparation, reasoning, evidence and limits. Private details of formulas, quantities, dosages, internal weights or authorizations remain subject to the actual delivery gates.

This Library is updated continuously. The underlying content is already complete on every entry; we keep polishing the writing, entry by entry, so it reads clearer and more precise over time.

FULL PROFILE

The 17 points of this module

Each section opens separately — tap the title to expand it.

1. Code, name, species

RN-01 — Mild Sustaining Nitrogen. Species: Rosa spp. This module belongs to the Rose Catalog family, within the Base Nutrient / Life Cycle functional class, and is prepared as a ferment within the complete catalog of safe modules documented by Yolia for this system's species.

2. Application method

**Root irrigation (to the soil).** This method was chosen because it distributes the input gradually toward the zone where the plant can absorb it, consistent with the rest of the Rose Catalog family's modules documented in this catalog.

3. What the real problem/need is

Nitrogen is the nutrient that runs out fastest in the soil (it washes away with irrigation, volatilizes, and the plant constantly consumes it to make chlorophyll and proteins). Without enough nitrogen, the plant's older leaves turn yellow first (because the plant "recycles" what little.

4. Exact function of the module

Provide nitrogen in a **gentle, slow-release** form — avoiding both errors above — to sustain healthy growth without pushing excess foliage at the expense of the flower. This specific function is what Yolia's engine evaluates when considering whether module RN-01 is relevant.

5. The ingredient, its chemistry, and why this one and not another

Alfalfa (*Medicago sativa*) is a legume — its roots have a symbiotic relationship with bacteria (*Rhizobium*) that capture nitrogen from the air and fix it as nitrogenous compounds within the plant itself. This is why fresh alfalfa has organic nitrogen.

6. Preparation method — general technique

This module is prepared as a **[ferment]**: fresh plant material is combined with water, left in a closed container (but not airtight — it needs to release gas) for a period of days, at a controlled temperature, so natural microorganisms break down the material and release.

7. Mechanism — how it acts on the plant, step by step

The root absorbs soluble nitrogen compounds together with the irrigation water. Within the plant, that nitrogen is mainly used to build chlorophyll (which is why the first symptom of nitrogen deficiency is yellowing) and to synthesize new proteins needed in every new cell.

8. Stage of use and why at that moment

Vegetative — when the plant is focused on building structure (leaf, stem, root) before moving into flowering. It is withdrawn or drastically reduced as flowering approaches, because keeping nitrogen high at that stage is precisely the mistake that reduces the amount of flower (explained.

9. Reapplication frequency

Every 10-14 days during the active vegetative stage. This frequency aims to sustain the effect without oversaturating the plant, considering the stability and preparation method specific to this ferment module within the Rose Catalog family. Documented within the complete catalog of safe modules.

10. Stability time of the prepared mix

An already-finished ferment keeps better than an infusion of volatile compounds — up to 5-7 days refrigerated, although its potency gradually decreases after the third day. This stability time reflects how long the preparation retains its activity before losing efficacy.

11. Relative concentration range

Low concentration — it is intentionally "gentle," diluted; the exact ratio is generated when the formula is purchased. This concentration level is adjusted according to the sensitivity of the stage of use and the specific function of this module within the Base Nutrient / Life Cycle functional class.

12. How the engine processes it

Capacidad registrada: `nitrogeno_suave_final`. El motor reduce automáticamente su prioridad conforme el caso se acerca a etapa de floración, y aumenta la prioridad de módulos de fósforo/potasio en su lugar — reflejando exactamente la lógica del punto 3.

13. Compatibility

It should not be combined with another nitrogen module in the same watering cycle (e.g. [RN-02]) — adding two simultaneous nitrogen sources is the most common route to the excess described in point 3. Compatible with calcium and silicon modules (they don't compete over the same mechanism).

14. What to expect / how to verify it worked

Steady growth and evenly healthy green leaves (neither yellowish nor exaggeratedly dark green), stems that feel firm as they grow, not soggy. This expected signal helps verify whether module RN-01 is working as documented within the Nutrient functional class.

15. What happens if it is misused or overused

Sustained excess produces exactly the symptom described in point 3: exaggerated foliage, weak stems, and fewer flowers in the cycle — the most common and easiest mistake to make with nitrogen in any ornamental plant. This is the risk the Risk Engine considers before approving.

16. Special precaution

Nothing critical for rose bushes, but it's the nutrient where an excess error is most easily made — watch closely during the first applications. This precaution is part of the safety documentation for this RN-01 module, reviewed within the complete catalog of documented safe modules.

17. Related to

- **[RN-02] Hormonal Medium Nitrogen** — the higher-intensity version, for when growth is slower than expected - **[TU-06] Post-Flowering Bulb Replenishment** (tulip) — an example of the opposite: there you want exactly the OPPOSITE of nitrogen.
