Search for any Yolia concept and open its exact file. The Library is independent of Sandbox, Labs and dashboards: those surfaces only link here.

The Library explains physiology, biology, chemistry, modules, combinations, stages, preparation, reasoning, evidence and limits. Private details of formulas, quantities, dosages, internal weights or authorizations remain subject to the actual delivery gates.

This Library is updated continuously. The underlying content is already complete on every entry; we keep polishing the writing, entry by entry, so it reads clearer and more precise over time.

FULL PROFILE

The 17 points of this module

Each section opens separately — tap the title to expand it.

1. Code, name, species

TU-08 — Vernalization Support. Tulipa spp. This module belongs to the Tulip Catalog family, within the Base Nutrient / Life Cycle functional class, and is prepared as an infusion within the complete catalog of safe modules documented by Yolia for this system's species.

2. Application method

Root watering or direct bulb treatment if in storage. This method was chosen because it distributes the input gradually toward the zone where the plant can absorb it, being consistent with the rest of the modules in the Tulip Catalog family documented in this catalog.

3. What the real problem/need is

The tulip has a real, non-negotiable biological requirement: **it needs a continuous cold period (generally between 12 and 16 weeks, below approximately 10°C) in order to flower the following year.** Without that cold, the bulb can survive but won't flower well.

4. Exact function

Protect the bulb from rot specifically during the mandatory cold period, without interfering with the vernalization process itself (which is a temperature-driven process, not something this module can speed up). This specific function is what Yolia's engine evaluates when considering.

5. Chemistry

Cinnamon and honey — cinnamon with its already-documented antifungal effect, protecting against bulb fungi that are more active in cold-humid conditions; honey with its complementary antimicrobial effect, at a gentle dose so as not to interfere with the bulb's metabolic dormancy state.

6. Preparation method

[Infusion], applied cold. As an infusion, this preparation process is what determines the final availability of the active compounds before being applied within the Tulip Catalog family program. Consulted by the engine when building a formula for the case.

7. Mechanism

It does not accelerate or replace the vernalization process (which depends exclusively on time and temperature, a physiological process that cannot be chemically "forced") — its only function is to reduce the risk of the bulb rotting BEFORE that natural process is completed.

8. Stage of use

Throughout the entire cold/winter dormancy period. This stage was chosen because it's when the plant can best make use of this specific input, within the general logic of the Tulip Catalog family documented in Yolia's complete catalog.

9. Frequency

Monthly application during the cold period, very low dose. This frequency aims to sustain the effect without saturating the plant, taking into account the stability and preparation method specific to this infusion module within the Tulip Catalog family.

10. Stability

Use on the same day of preparation. This stability time reflects how long the preparation retains its activity before losing effectiveness, relevant for planning the application frequency of this infusion module. Documented within Yolia's complete catalog of safe modules.

11. Concentration

Very low — the resting bulb shouldn't receive strong stimulus of any kind. This concentration level is adjusted according to the sensitivity of the stage of use and this module's specific function within the Base Nutrient / Life Cycle functional class of Yolia's complete catalog.

12. How the engine processes it

Capacidad `defensa_biologica`.

13. Compatibility

The only active module during this phase — it is not combined with nutrients, since the bulb is not in active growth. This compatibility is checked within the Compatibility Engine before including this module together with other elements of the Tulip Catalog family in the same formula generated.

14. What to expect

A bulb that reaches the end of the cold period healthy, ready to emerge in spring. This expected signal helps verify whether module TU-08 is working as documented within the Base Nutrient / Life Cycle functional class of Yolia's complete catalog of safe modules.

15. If misused

Excess could minimally interfere with the bulb's natural metabolic rest, although the main risk at this stage is not protecting enough, not over-treating. This is the risk the Risk Engine considers before approving a higher concentration or frequency for this infusion module.

16. Special precaution

This module does NOT accelerate or replace the actual chilling requirement — there is no chemical shortcut for vernalization, it is a process that requires real time and temperature, without exception. This precaution is part of the safety documentation for this TU-08 module.

17. Related to

[TU-01] Bulb Rooting — [TU-07] Transition to Dormancy — [What vernalization is and why it can't be skipped] These relationships help understand how this TU-08 module connects with other elements of the Tulip Catalog family and the Base Nutrient / Life Cycle functional class.
