Search for any Yolia concept and open its exact file. The Library is independent of Sandbox, Labs and dashboards: those surfaces only link here.

The Library explains physiology, biology, chemistry, modules, combinations, stages, preparation, reasoning, evidence and limits. Private details of formulas, quantities, dosages, internal weights or authorizations remain subject to the actual delivery gates.

This Library is updated continuously. The underlying content is already complete on every entry; we keep polishing the writing, entry by entry, so it reads clearer and more precise over time.

FULL PROFILE

The 17 points of this module

Each section opens separately — tap the title to expand it.

1. Code, name, species

RSi-01 — Silica Structural Reinforcement. Species: Rosa spp. This module belongs to the Rose Catalog family, within the Defense functional class, and is prepared as an infusion within Yolia's complete catalog of documented safe modules for the species in this system.

2. Application method

**Root irrigation (to the soil, not foliar).** It's applied directly to the soil near the base of the plant, so the root absorbs it together with normal irrigation water. This method was chosen because it distributes the input gradually toward the area where the plant can absorb it.

3. What the real problem/need is

A rosebush with a weak stem bends under the weight of its own flowers or with moderate wind, and its soft tissue is easier for fungi and chewing insects to penetrate. It is recognized by: stems that arch or break for no apparent reason, leaves that tear easily when touched.

4. Exact function of the module

Providing bioavailable silica so the plant deposits it in the cell walls of stem and leaf, increasing their physical rigidity and resistance to pathogen penetration. This specific function is what Yolia's engine evaluates when considering whether module RSi-01 is relevant.

5. The ingredient, its chemistry, and why this one and not another

Horsetail (*Equisetum arvense*) has the highest documented silica (silicon dioxide, SiO₂) content among common plants used in agriculture — it can exceed 5-8% of its dry weight. When processed as an [infusion], part of that silica ends up in soluble form (monosilicic acid).

6. Preparation method — general technique (not the exact recipe)

This module is prepared as an **[infusion]**, the catalog's simplest technique: it consists of pouring hot (not boiling, so as not to degrade the active compounds) water over the dry plant material, and letting it steep covered for several hours so the water extracts the soluble compounds.

7. Mechanism — how it acts on the plant, step by step

The root absorbs dissolved monosilicic acid together with irrigation water. The plant transports it via [xylem] toward young growing leaves and stems. As water evaporates through transpiration, silicon concentrates and is physically deposited between the epidermal cells.

8. Stage of use and why at that moment

From the early vegetative stage — silicon is deposited in NEW tissue as it grows, an already-mature stem cannot be reinforced retroactively. This stage was chosen because it's when the plant can best make use of this specific input, within the general logic of the Rose Catalog family.

9. Reapplication frequency

Regular cycles every 10-14 days throughout active growth. It doesn't depend on rain (unlike a foliar-application module like [RAF-01]), because this one is absorbed through the root from the substrate, not by surface contact protection on the leaf.

10. Stability time of the prepared mix

24-48 hours if kept refrigerated and in darkness. As with any organic preparation, it is ideal to use it as soon as possible after preparing it. This stability time reflects how long the preparation retains its activity before losing effectiveness, relevant for planning frequency.

11. Relative concentration range

It is applied at low-to-moderate concentration, diluted in the irrigation water — the exact ratio calibrated for your specific case is generated when you purchase the formula. This concentration level is adjusted according to the sensitivity of the stage of use and the specific function of this module within the class.

12. How the engine processes it

Capacidad registrada: `silicio_estructura_resistencia`. Prioridad alta en casos con plantas de porte alto, expuestas a viento, o con historial de enfermedad fúngica recurrente. Así es como el motor de Yolia evalúa la inclusión de este módulo RSi-01 dentro de una fórmula.

13. Compatibility

It combines especially well with [structural calcium] modules (they reinforce the cell wall through complementary pathways). No known conflicts with other modules in this catalog. This compatibility is reviewed within the Compatibility Engine before including this module with other elements.

14. What to expect / how to verify it worked

Within weeks, not days: stiffer-feeling stems, fewer plants bent by the flower's weight, lower incidence of fungal disease in that specific plant. This expected signal helps verify whether the RSi-01 module is functioning as documented within the functional class.

15. What happens if it is misused or overused

It's not acutely toxic, but excess without real need provides no benefit — the plant only deposits what it can use, the rest is wasted. This risk is what the Risk Engine considers before approving a higher concentration or frequency for this infusion module.

16. Special precaution

None critical for rosebush. This precaution is part of the safety documentation for this RSi-01 module, reviewed within Yolia's complete catalog of documented safe modules for cultivation. Part of the complete set of technical entries in Yolia's catalog.

17. Related to

- **[RAF-01] Garlic-Cinnamon Antifungal** — they work together: one reinforces from within, the other defends from outside - **[RCa-01] Structural Calcium** — the direct complement to this module - **[Plant cell wall anatomy]** — where silicon is deposited and why it matters.
