Real science, explained

Physiology, chemistry and modules: learn the why behind each Yolia decision.

YOLIA LIBRARY · SCIENTIFIC ENCYCLOPEDIA

Index → chapter → topic → full explanation

Search for any Yolia concept and open its exact file. The Library is independent of Sandbox, Labs and dashboards: those surfaces only link here.

The Library explains physiology, biology, chemistry, modules, combinations, stages, preparation, reasoning, evidence and limits. Private details of formulas, quantities, dosages, internal weights or authorizations remain subject to the actual delivery gates.

This Library is updated continuously. The underlying content is already complete on every entry; we keep polishing the writing, entry by entry, so it reads clearer and more precise over time.

FULL PROFILE

The 17 points of this module

Each section opens separately — tap the title to expand it.

1. Code, name, species

RPH-02 — Natural Alkalizer. Rosa spp. This module belongs to the Rose Catalog family, within the Microbiology / Regulation functional class, and is prepared as an infusion within Yolia's complete catalog of documented safe modules for the species in this system.

2. Application method

Root watering. This method was chosen because it gradually distributes the input toward the area where the plant can absorb it, being consistent with the rest of the modules in the Rose Catalog family documented in this catalog. Consulted by the engine when building a formula for the case.

3. What the real problem/need is

The opposite of RPH-01 — when the substrate is too acidic (below roughly 6.0), other different nutrients (such as phosphorus and calcium) become less available, and in extreme cases soil aluminum can become soluble at levels toxic to the root.

4. Exact function

Raise the substrate's pH to a range where phosphorus and calcium become well available again. This specific function is what Yolia's engine evaluates when considering whether module RPH-02 is relevant for a case within the Rose Catalog family of the module catalog.

5. Chemistry

Wood ash contains potassium carbonate and other alkaline oxides that react with the soil, neutralizing part of its acidity and gradually raising the measurable pH. As an added benefit, it contributes extra potassium in the process. This composition is the documented chemical basis of the module.

6. Preparation method

[Infusion]. As an infusion, this preparation process is what determines the final availability of the active compounds before being applied within the Rose Catalog family's program. Part of the complete set of technical entries in Yolia's catalog.

7. Mechanism

Same as RPH-01 but in the opposite direction — a chemical effect on the substrate, not a direct one on the plant. This mechanism is what Yolia's engine documents when evaluating the real function of module RPH-02 within the Microbiology / Regulation functional class of the complete catalog of modules.

8. Stage of use

When confirming or suspecting an overly acidic substrate. This stage was chosen because it is when the plant can best take advantage of this specific input, within the general logic of the Rose Catalog family documented in Yolia's complete catalog. Documented within the complete module catalog.

9. Frequency

Gradual repeated applications, same logic as RPH-01. This frequency seeks to sustain the effect without saturating the plant, taking into account the stability and preparation method specific to this infusion module within the Rose Catalog family. Documented within the complete module catalog.

10. Stability

Very stable, weeks if kept well. This stability time reflects how long the preparation retains its activity before losing effectiveness, relevant for planning the application frequency of this infusion module. Consulted by the engine when building a formula for the case.

11. Concentration

Low, pH changes should be gradual. This concentration level is adjusted according to the sensitivity of the use stage and the specific function of this module within the Microbiology / Regulation functional class of Yolia's complete catalog. Documented within the complete module catalog.

12. How the engine processes it

Capacidad `ph_estabilizacion`. Se activa con reportes de sustrato ácido en el caso. Así es como el motor de Yolia evalúa la inclusión de este módulo RPH-02 dentro de una fórmula, considerando su función específica dentro de la familia Catálogo Rosa del catálogo completo.

13. Compatibility

Do not combine with RPH-01 (opposite effects, they would cancel each other out). This compatibility is checked within the Compatibility Engine before including this module together with other elements of the Rose Catalog family in the same formula generated for the case. Documented within the complete catalog.

14. What to expect

Gradual correction of phosphorus/calcium availability in acidic soils, a process taking weeks. This expected signal helps verify whether module RPH-02 is working as documented within the Microbiology / Regulation functional class of Yolia's complete catalog of safe modules.

15. If misused

Raising the pH too much can block iron and manganese (the opposite problem from what RPH-01 solves). This is the risk the Risk Engine considers before approving a higher concentration or frequency for this infusion module within the Rose Catalog family of the complete catalog.

16. Special precaution

It requires patience, not immediate correction. This precaution is part of the safety documentation for this module RPH-02, reviewed within Yolia's complete catalog of safe modules documented for growing. Consulted by the engine when building a formula for the case.

17. Related to

[RPH-01] Natural Acidifier (opposite effect) — [Soil pH and nutrient availability] These relationships help understand how this RPH-02 module connects with other elements of the Rose Catalog family and the Microbiology / Regulation functional class within the complete catalog.
