Search for any Yolia concept and open its exact file. The Library is independent of Sandbox, Labs and dashboards: those surfaces only link here.

The Library explains physiology, biology, chemistry, modules, combinations, stages, preparation, reasoning, evidence and limits. Private details of formulas, quantities, dosages, internal weights or authorizations remain subject to the actual delivery gates.

This Library is updated continuously. The underlying content is already complete on every entry; we keep polishing the writing, entry by entry, so it reads clearer and more precise over time.

FULL PROFILE

The 17 points of this module

Each section opens separately — tap the title to expand it.

1. Code, name, species

RAF-01 — Garlic-Cinnamon Antifungal. Species: Rosa spp. This module belongs to the Rose Catalog family, within the Defense functional class, and is prepared as an infusion within Yolia's complete catalog of documented safe modules for the species in this system.

2. Application method

Foliar spray. This method was chosen because it gradually distributes the input toward the area where the plant can absorb it, being consistent with the rest of the modules in the Rose Catalog family documented in this catalog. Documented within the complete catalog of safe modules.

3. What the real problem/need is

Black spot (Diplocarpon rosae) is the #1 foliar disease of rosebushes in humid climates. The spore needs liquid water on the leaf for at least 7 hours to germinate. Visible symptom: circular black-purple spots with irregular edges, usually on older leaves first.

4. Exact function

Preventing the fungal spore from germinating and penetrating the leaf, before the symptom (spot) even appears. This specific function is what the Yolia engine evaluates when considering whether module RAF-01 is relevant to a case within the Rose Catalog family of the complete catalog.

5. The ingredients, their chemistry, and why they combine

Garlic: allicin (formed when crushed, alliin+alliinase reaction) damages the fungus's internal proteins. Cinnamon: cinnamaldehyde blocks synthesis of fungal membrane ergosterol. Two different mechanisms against the same fungus — harder for it to develop resistance to both simultaneously.

6. Preparation method

Infusion. Prepare and apply the same day, ideally within the first 2-4 hours after crushing the garlic (allicin degrades within hours). As an infusion, this preparation process is what determines the final availability of the active compounds before being applied within the program.

7. Mechanism — how it acts on the plant

Foliar contact barrier: covers the leaf with allicin and cinnamaldehyde, acting BEFORE the spore manages to germinate — preventive, does not cure already-existing spots. This is the mechanism the Yolia engine documents when evaluating the actual function of the RAF-01 module within the Defense functional class.

8. Stage of use

Preventive, at the start of the rainy/high-humidity season. This stage was chosen because it's when the plant can best make use of this specific input, within the general logic of the Rose Catalog family documented in Yolia's complete catalog.

9. Reapplication frequency

Every 7-10 days in humid weather; reapply after heavy rain. In the absence of rain, still every 7-10 days (degradation from evaporation/UV, not just washing off). This frequency seeks to sustain the effect without saturating the plant, taking into account the stability and preparation method of this module.

10. Stability time of the prepared mix

Use on the same day of preparation — allicin degrades noticeably within hours at room temperature. This stability time reflects how long the preparation retains its activity before losing effectiveness, relevant for planning the application frequency of this infusion module.

11. Relative concentration range

Low-moderate; the exact proportion is calibrated when the formula is purchased. This concentration level is adjusted according to the sensitivity of the stage it's used in and this module's specific function within the Defense functional class of Yolia's complete catalog.

12. How the engine processes it

Biological-defense capacity. The engine raises priority upon detecting reported high humidity or a history of black spot in the case's symptoms. This is how Yolia's engine evaluates including this module RAF-01 in a formula, considering its specific function within the family.

13. Compatibility

Do not apply on the same day as strong essential-oil flowering modules (combined saturation/burn risk). This compatibility is checked within the Compatibility Engine before including this module together with other elements of the Rose Catalog family in the same generated formula.

14. What to expect / how to verify it worked

Within 2-3 weeks of humid weather, new leaves without the described spots. Already-spotted leaves do not heal, only new tissue is protected. This expected signal helps verify whether the RAF-01 module is functioning as documented within the Defense functional class of the complete module catalog.

15. What happens if it is misused or overused

Phytotoxic burn from excess or application under strong direct sun. This is the risk the Risk Engine considers before approving a higher concentration or frequency for this infusion module within the Rose Catalog family of the complete catalog. Documented within the complete catalog.

16. Special precaution

Apply during cool hours; avoid open bloom if seeking to preserve delicate floral aroma. This precaution is part of the safety documentation for this RAF-01 module, reviewed within Yolia's complete catalog of documented safe modules for cultivation.

17. Related to

RAF-02 Bicarbonate Antifungal (different mechanism, for powdery mildew) — Diplocarpon rosae life cycle — Photosynthesis and leaf loss. These relationships help understand how this module RAF-01 connects with other elements from the Rose Catalog family and the Defense functional class.
