What are you seeing?

Here you see where the plant lives: indoors, greenhouse, or outdoors, along with its roots, irrigation, and light.

Why it matters

The plant does not work separately from its environment — all of this affects it together, not in isolation.

How to think about it

Start with the big picture: first the general environment type, then go into the detail of irrigation and light.

Very simple example

A plant with drooping leaves may need a different reading if it is very hot than if the substrate is waterlogged.

Look at this first:
  • Environment
  • Root zone
  • Irrigation
  • Source of light

Interpreted environment, not just described

The environment defines which variables make sense, which change their weight, and which tools would be necessary in a real file.
